Greatest Song Lyrics of All Time

I don’t know about you, but whenever I go road tripping, there are 2 things that I need, the first is some good music, and the second is some fun games. In the last 2 years I have found myself in need of these more than ever, as myself and my business partner Dean Kirkland WA native like me, have been making road trips between our offices in Washington and Vancouver. Throughout this time we have had some great games and awesome music to keep us going. Recently our thoughts turned to the best music lyrics of all time, and here is the list which we have compiled, see what you think.

Bob Dylan
Blowin’ In The Wind

How many ears must one man have before he can hear people cry? Yes, and how many deaths will it take ’til he knows that too many people have died?

Frank Sinatra
My Way

For what is a man? What has he got? If not himself – Then he has naught. To say the things he truly feels And not the words of one who kneels.

Simon and Garfunkel
The Boxer

All lies and jest, still, a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.

Boston
Peace Of Mind

I understand about indecision, but I don’t care if I get behind. People living in competition, all I want is to have my peace of mind.

The Righteous Brothers
Rock And Roll Heaven

If you believe in forever, then life is just a one night stand. If there’s a rock and roll heaven, well, you know they got a hell of a band.

The Rolling Stones
Far Away Eyes

The preacher said, you know you always have the Lord by your side. And I was so pleased to be informed of this that I ran twenty red-lights in his name.

The Yardbirds
Spoonful

It could be a spoonful of diamonds, could be a spoonful of gold. Just a little spoon of your precious love satisfies my soul.

Kansas
The Wall

The path that I have chosen now has led me to a wall, and with each passing day I feel a little more like something dear was lost. It rises now before me, a dark and silent barrier between all I am, and all I would ever want to be.

Foo Fighters
Everlong

And I wonder when I sing along with you, if everything could ever feel this real forever, if anything could ever be this good again. The only thing I’ll ever ask of you, you’ve got to promise not to stop when I say when.

Of course, music is one of those things which changes to everyone’s tastes, and song lyrics are the same, these are just the ones that we have picked out as our favorites. What are your favorite song lyrics of all time?
